What is your earliest memory? Is there photograph of it? Do you remember the event or the photograph?
It is funny that this question comes up because I was just thinking about this the other day. Every memory I have really early in my childhood has a corresponding picture in our family photo album. The earliest memory I have is going fishing with my dad and catching a bluegill...my first fish. I was only three years old, so I don't think I would've remembered it without the aid of the picture of my dad and I holding up that tiny fish I was so proud of. Photographs are a wonderful thing because they refresh the memory and keep the picture vivid in our minds. There are a lot of things I wouldn't remember without the help of all my wonderful pictures. I often remember the event over the picture.
